Historical Information from Round 1
About EDICa’s Round 1 call
All proposals will be considered, but for this call, we will prioritise research projects that focus on mitigating the effects of Covid-19 and public health measures on inequalities across R&I careers. For example, projects may include, but are not limited to, long Covid, menstrual health, and career implications of Covid-19 and lockdowns. The impact of Covid-19 on (in)equalities across the R&I ecosystem was identified as a priority area through co-design with the Funders (UKRI and the British Academy), a Delphi Study of experts in equality, diversity and inclusion (EDI), and through co-design workshops with volunteer participants.
EDICa will be taking a balanced portfolio approach. This means that applications will be reviewed based on the eligibility criteria and assessment criteria, but we will also be looking for a balance of projects that respond to the issues highlighted within the wider theme of Covid-19 and inequalities across R&I careers. A balanced portfolio will also ensure representation of research and innovation sectors.
The EDICa team will support potential applicants with excellent ideas but who are experiencing barriers to accessing or using specific approaches (e.g. see below for co-design resources, and we will facilitate access to stakeholders and collaborators).
