Toilets at Work
A report from the TUC on accessing toilet facilities in the workplace, based on a survey of members from multiple unions, and people with no union membership.

A survey was carried out by the Trade Union Congress (TUC) of union members and non-members, from October – November 2025, with 4,126 responses.
This 20-page report indicates that many workers don’t have proper access to toilet facilities (45%).

Steps for Employers:
- Provide adequate facilities
- Design work with workers’ welfare needs in mind
- Always consult with staff
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards
- Provide sanitary products and disposal options (pg 17-18)
