This guidance and accompanying Menopause and Menstrual Health Action Plan template have been developed by the Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Caucus (EDICa) as part of ongoing research and impact work focused on menopause and menstrual health in the workplace. They are grounded in empirical evidence and draw directly on EDICa’s research and collaborative work with partner organisations across sectors where menstrual health and menopause interventions have been trialled and evaluated.
The guidance has been shaped through co-design with employers, staff networks, HR and EDI professionals, senior leaders and employees. Their insights and experiences have informed an approach that is evidence-based, practical and responsive to organisational realities. The Menopause and Menstrual Health Action Plan template shared here has been created by EDICa and reflects learning from this work. It provides a clear structure to help organisations identify priorities, share accountability and monitor progress over time. It is important to note that this template is not issued by the UK Government.
This guidance is a practical, step-by-step resource to help organisations across different sectors and of different sizes create, implement, and evaluate a Menopause and Menstrual Health Action Plan. It is designed to help organisations create evidence-based action plans that creates lasting change for employees and the organisation.
